2004 Preakness Contenders
The Kentucky Derby is now history and Smarty Jones earned his place in the history books as only the fifth horse to remain undefeated through the Derby. As expected he will be heading to Pimlico for the 129th Preakness on May 15th as the overwhelming horse betting favorite, along with several other horses from the Derby.
Smarty Jones WINS the Preakness
Triple Crown Bid is ON, Belmont Stakes next!

Our regular tip sheets had Smarty Jones as the top pick in all aspects of the race, from speed and pace, to class and power which he demonstrated as he bulleted away from the threat of Rock Hard Ten. We had the $24.60 exacta with Rock Hard Ten but not the trifecta as Lion Heart faded into fourth passed by eventual third placer Eddington. Our special Preakness Report dismissed Rock Hard Ten in place of Eddington. We are in full swing with our Belmont Park coverage, the next step in Smarty Jones' bid is the Belmont Stakes on June 5 - see you there!
